Show and Tell: The Blue Room and a Borrowed Bass Guitar

Recently painted (twice. the first attempt at creating my "womb room" with a light peach turned out simply creepy. Note to self: Walls the color of flesh are not soothing....)

Recently stocked with a borrowed bass guitar and amp.

Already filled with a hand-me-down day bed and bits of this and that.

This is kind of a multi-purpose room in our apartment. It holds our largest closet (unseen) and the spare bathroom filled with books (also behind a closed door). Our inflatable kayaks live in here, dry out here, get stashed here, as do all the fertility meds. In a few months, this is where I will shoot up with lupron every morning and (hopefully, eventually) PIO every night.

But for now, it is where I am teaching myself how to play the bass guitar. Which makes my husband laugh and me smile.

This is my first time on Mel's weekly Show and Tell! Want to see what it's all about? Imagine a grown-up virtual version of the show and tell at school - Head over to Stirrup Queens and check out all of the other folks who have something to share with you this week.

As my beloved Virginia Woolf says, it's imperative to have a room of one's own. Enjoy the guitar!

Welcome to Show and Tell! The color of the walls is really nice. I love blue, it's so soothing and has a calming affect for me. Good luck learning to play the guitar. Are you gonna post a video next week? ;o)

Bass guitar! I love it! The color of the room is beautiful. I so hope you get to experience the joy of PIO injections there shortly...(what a bizarre world we live in, when we can wish one another happy "shooting up"!)

I like the blue.

I agree with you - flesh tone walls would not be soothing. :0)

Welcome to S&T! Just wanted to let you know that I tried to post a comment this morning but blogger wouldn't have it!

But, I am so interested in knowing if you like your inflatable kayaks. I want to get one, but my husband thinks I'm crazy. He thinks that an inflatible kayak will be about as useful as a wimp dingy and I'll be lost in the middle of the lake.

Anyway, good luck with your guitar learning! I think that's awesome!

That is so cool that you're teaching yourself bass. And I have to agree--blue over peach every single time.

Love the blue. It's a great colour. We have a "multi-purpose" room in our apartment too. It's our version of a garage...lol!

Welcome to Show and Tell!

I love what you have done with the room. It is so necessary to have our spaces...and good luck with that guitar lesson! :)

Glad to see you here as well!!

A "me" room is a MUST. Mine is a scrapbooking room. My mother's is a quiliting room. And my father's is a music room, although his guitar is acoustic...

Glad you have some space of your own.

I think it's so cool you're learning to play bass guitar.

And thanks for the painting tip. No flesh colored walls.
